About Lumen

Lumen is a place of study and meditation on the Catholic faith. Its aim is simple: to make theology accessible, faithful and alive, for the beginner who is discovering it and for the believer who wishes to go deeper.

Each entry rests on the Scriptures, the tradition of the Church and the constant teaching of the Magisterium. Its form seeks sobriety, so that the truths may speak for themselves, without noise or clutter. Everything tends toward a single end: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

The site grows slowly, entry after entry. What it holds never exhausts its subject: it opens a door, and invites one to go further.
